Extra Curricular activities are incredibly important at Town Green. We aim to nurture every child to achieve their full potential through our school motto ' Only my best is good enough'.

We offer a wide range of extra curricular sporting opportunities for our pupils and are very proud of their achievements. We are always very impressed with their attitude, determination and sportsmanship.

A fantastic afternoon for our Key Stage 2 girls who participated in the first ever Town Green Girls' Football Tournament! Over 60 of of our girls took part in exciting matches. The overall winners were 'Stella's Squashies'! Well done to them. Here is a small selection of the action shots and winner's presentation. Thank you to our Year 6 referees, too!

Well done 👏to our swim team who competed in the Ormskirk District swimming gala on Wednesday night. The children came 2nd on the night, they were fantastic. Some children received individual medals in their races. The children showed excellent sportsmanship and were so well behaved in a packed out Park Pool! I was extremely proud of every single one of them.😀

Well done to our Girls Football team for 2024 who have played so well in their games this year!

So good to see so many girls enthusiastic and competing in different sports - all of our girls are fantastic role models for our younger children!

We showed a brilliant display in the tournament and came 2nd out of 20 teams. The girls should be very proud of themselves as they conceded only 1 goal in the whole tournament. Well done Girls. you were amazing and a pleasure to watch!

Well done to all of our Year 2 athletics who were fantastic at the School Sports Partnership Key Stage 1 Indoor Athletics Event. As you see, all of our pupils performed amazingly and won so many stickers and medals. This is a great opportunity for our younger pupils to take part in a large scale event and their behaviour was fantastic! 

Our fantastic Year 5/6 Athletics team won the silver medal at the Indoor Athletics competition on Friday. Not only did they compete brilliantly in every single event but they also all showed great sportsmanship and were a credit to the school.

Well done to our composite relay teams who competed at Ormskirk School. A great display and fantastic effort!

What a way to celebrate International Womens Day! Our Year 6 girls were amazing in the West Lancashire Football Tournament, reaching the semi finals. Super determination, skill and teamwork in chilly conditions. Well done all!

A great day for football today at the West Lancashire Sports Partnership World Cup day! Both teams were unbeaten throughout the day, finishing an impressive 5th out of 18 schools. Fantastic football skills, teamwork and attitude. Well done!
