    We've done it! We are Silver Green Tree Award winners. Find out lots more about what has been happening across school to help us achieve this award.

  • We are Green Tree Schools Bronze Award winners!

    We are very proud to have achieved our Bronze Green Tree Award today! This is a culmination of all the hard work of our school's Green Team over the past twelve months through their work in planting the new woodland and wildflower meadow last summer / Autumn, to improving recycling in schools with new boxes and a system working with Mr Oldroyd, our site supervisor!

     

    We are hard at work now to try and achieve the Silver award with work across the school!

    We are pleased to announce that we have been successful in our bid for a Local School's Nature Grant which will provide resources to develop outdoor learning in the Foundation Stage. We are excited to take part in the training provided and the specialised kit - worth £500 for pupils in the foundation stage to use in the future.

  • Year 6 achieve their John Muir award in conjunction with West Lancashire Ranger service

    Well done to all of our Year 6 pupils for achieving the John Muir award in conjunction with West Lancashire Ranger Service. 

    Sessions have taken place in school as well as in Ormskirk, Coronation Park with  pupils learning about recycling, conservation as well as fire lighting and den building.  Mrs Dykes is currently training to become a forest school lead which will enable us to widen our offer to pupils throughout school!

     

    The children were fantastic and we are ready proud of them!
